In an ever-changing world the development of a healthy character is an unchanging requirement. Schools provide the ideal context in which educators can support young people in developing their personal qualities. Geoff Smith is a visionary headteacher, speaker, author and consultant whose passion is the development of a healthy character in children and young people.
As the current headteacher of Kehelland Primary school and founder member of the UK Association of Character Education, Geoff supports schools through the Virtues in Education Training Programme -VINE delivered by colleague Shona Pye- which is delivering high quality character education programmes to a growing number of schools in the UK.
His latest publication ‘Character Education – The Star Awards Programme’ is a complete character curriculum for Primary Schools.
Geoff is a Virtues Project Master Facilitator and former board member of the Virtues Project International – a global grass roots initiative honoured by the United Nations during the International Year of the Family as a “model global program for families of all cultures.”
